WELCOME TO MOLLÖSUND

Mollösund is one of the oldest and most genuine fishing ports in the province of Bohuslän.
It is located at the furthest point of the south-western promontory of Orust. Piers, fishermen’s huts, boats; they’re all here. Just as they should be. This place is home to about 350 residents with a permanent longing for peace, summer, sea and sun, and for many, many others who spend their summers here.

Ballads and rock music
During the summer there is a never-ending stream of artists and groups appearing at Mollösund. The atmosphere in the Magasinet summer pub is always lively.

Fish soup is one of the Mollösund specialities. It’s best appreciated in the cool of the evening. In Mollösund they know the art of preparing the best dishes from the larder of the sea.

SIGHTSEEING

The church at Mollösund was inaugurated on 26 June 1866. It replaced the older wooden church, which was situated inside the old churchyard, down by the harbour.
